Spain bid farewell to Brazil 2014 and its reign atop the soccer world with a magisterial 3-0 victory over Australia.
Goals from David Villa, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata meant Spain were left with a wry smile at least as they disembarked from this World Cup.
The defending world champions scored one before half-time and twice afterwards as Australia became open at the back.
Spain and Australia were both already eliminated from tournament with two straight losses.
